Information You Submit
Search forms send the name, phone number, or address you enter to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Annapolis People Search does not retain a copy of those searches on its servers. When you contact us, we receive the details you choose to send and use them to answer your message.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create ordinary server logs that may include an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review this information in aggregate to maintain the service and learn which resources visitors use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
The limited information described above helps us operate the site, diagnose errors, measure traffic, and improve its resources. We neither sell a visitor list nor create individual user profiles.
Privacy on Linked Websites
Links may lead to Annapolis offices, Anne Arundel County services, Maryland court or agency portals, library collections, and third-party search tools. Each destination applies its own privacy policy. Information entered there is governed by that operator, not by us. The same rule applies to sponsored search results supplied by a third party.
When Information Is Shared
Providers that host or support the service process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We may disclose information when valid legal process requires it, but otherwise do not share visitor data.
Protecting Your Information
An encrypted connection delivers the site. Server logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes stated above. Because visitors do not create accounts, we do not hold a site password or member profile for you.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted such information so it can be removed.
Your Maryland Privacy Rights
The Maryland Online Data Privacy Act of 2024, Commercial Law §§14-4701 et seq., may give covered Maryland consumers rights to confirm or access certain personal data, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, obtain portability, and opt out of covered targeted advertising, sale, or profiling. Coverage thresholds and statutory exemptions apply. Beginning October 1, 2025, covered controllers must recognize qualifying consent-based opt-out preference signals under §14-4707. Public records kept by Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, Maryland courts, or state agencies remain under each custodian's control, so correction or removal requests for those records must go to that office.
